The only constant in life is actually change itself. Although human nature is somewhat fixed, there still are a lot of behaviors people can adopt.
A technology that is oriented towards human development will bring out more positive traits in our behavior.
So in sense, I agree with you. People are the same, but we can behave a lot better :)
