RE: Natural law - Conscience: the only way to freedom
It's funny man, technology has for a while now progressively allowed for human kind to be more and more free, and as a precursor of course, to be more moral in our day to day lives. The advent of things like medical equipment, or transportation vehicles allowed us all to become more than we were. Now however, we seem to have hit that point of diminishing return. No longer are our advancements allowing us to be better, and to subsequently be more free - but rather we as a race of people are becoming more violent, more selfish, and more concerned with superficial nonsense than ever before.. And what might we have to thank for this? Technology. the reason I say any of this is because I think it ties in to what both you and Mr. Passio are saying. Morality and freedom are in a degenerative state, thanks to our "progression" as a technological people. The only way to truly be free is to be apart from the miasma of technological influence (i.e. facebook, incessant need to google things etc.) and to live a natural and good life. Thanks for posting this it has gotten me thinking about some things for sure.
