RE: I don't want to be a minority
'She speaks in the language of white supremacy', is exactly the reason us conservatives can not engage in a civilised debate. Each time we do we are labeled, racists, Nazis and white supremacists.
Reality:
I certainly agree on this.
Some white people are racists, many are not. It's the same with minorities.
I don't know how it is in Australia, but here in the U.S., there's a lot of racism coming from all sides. There's a lot to be said about why, but that would probably fill a book or two. White supremacy in the U.S. is a big problem, and most of the domestic terrorists here are white supremacists. There's lots of stories in the news to show that. They've become emboldened with the rhetoric of the current government here. They feel that they are free to push their agenda now, and are often violent in the process. This is a problem that needs to be addressed in the U.S. This is a country full of diversity, some people don't want it to be that way. They feel that they are the only ones who should have rights in this country, and they feel threatened by diversity.
Thanks for the comments amberyooper - I hadn't heard that 'white supremacy' was a problem in the US. Certainly not a problem in Australia - though I do hear the same 'white privilege' term being thrown around a bit here. However in my opinion it is only Libtards throwing these phases around, because they don't appreciate how hard some people have to work to achieve success. They simply assume that every successful person has inherited a multi-million dollar fortune. SK.
In this country, a lot of poor people get called lazy and useless because they're poor, even though they're working 2 or 3 part time jobs simply to survive. Good paying full time work is increasingly difficult to find here due to the bad economy. It's gotten more difficult to be successful here, even with hard work.
Agree in theory, thanks for the comment mobbs. Unfortunately it is not this simple as Government policies are instituting many forms of inequity - much of which is effecting those in the middle of the spectrum. SK.
