Bama Football: #1 Alabama vs #2 Clemson
College Football Playoff Nation Championship Game
The National Championship game is upon us. This year we will be watching as #1 Alabama squares of against #2 Clemson in a battle of undefeated teams to declare who the best in the land is. Alabama is the defending champion and will bring their 16 game winning streak to Santa Clara, CA with high expectations of extending that streak to 17.
Both teams are coming off wins in the College Football Playoff semi-finals. Alabama came out the gates early and often against #4 Oklahoma to cruise to a 45-34 victory. While Clemson met little resistance from #3 Notre Dame to pull out a 30-3 victory.
Injury Updates and Suspensions
Alabama Linebacker, Christian Miller, sustained a hamstring pull in the game against Oklahoma on Dec. 29th. The MRI didn't show any tear or injury requiring a long recovery. He is expected to play against Clemson.
As far as suspensions. Clemson will again be without superstar Dexter Lawrence and two other team members.
Point Spread and Over/Under
Alabama is currently a 5 point favorite over Clemson.
The Over/Under for this game is 59.5
