Personally, I am in favor of powering up Steem and SBD that is accumulating and support causes by frequent upvotes. Of course, sometimes, a direct transfer of SBD or Steem is needed, but in my opinion, the bigger the account, the more powerful the upvotes, the more people can be helped...
Kind of put the oxygen mask on yourself first and then be way more impactful when helping others.
