As a fellow minnow, I do my due diligence and read every day, finding hidden gems just like you. I click to follow them and upvote. All minnows should do the same. Are you suggesting a new strategy, that favors the ones you follow. Do we not all have a hidden gems list if we are actually reading?
Is the lack of support coming from a lack of readers.

no everyone does not need a hidden gems list. We were giving steem dollars up front before we posted to these authors links. Then we were hoping the Steem Community, including minnows like yourself, dolphins, and whales would up vote them. That would give them a second reward. Then we would split what ever the featured post gave them between the featured authors. This was a little different idea and it would have given them three rewards total. But they did get the $5 Steem Dollars we sent them all. :)
