The stranded dingy, the ironic fate - Freewrite

Entry 20

'It's actually quite ironic', Taru thought to himself, that he even had dry lips in the first place. I mean he was literally in one of the biggest masses, if not THE biggest mass of water in the world. Ok it is literally the biggest mass of water in the world. We're talking about the OCEAN!

Only 6 hours ago Taru set out for the high seas in his little dingy. Powered by a 150 horse power engine and covered in tin, this little dingy had been through many a fish. The local spot was prime time for catching some of the nicest snapper you'll ever sink your teeth into. Deep fry these bad boys and chuck in some thick cut fries. Ooo weee, you are in business right there!

The plan was simple. Drive out to the spot. Fish all morning, and come back in.

The plan started off brilliantly! The drive over, calm as a baby after suckling.

Let's not even get started on the fishing! I mean Taru caught like... 10 snapper. Big boys too. Had to throw a couple away because they were just too small but hey you take and you give, it's just a part of life.

As Taru was finishing up the fishing however, things took a bit of a turn. Dark, dark clouds swooped in overhead, literally out of nowhere. As if god had said, 'Hey! Taru! Eat THIS!'.

Next thing Taru knew he was in the water. Waves 3 metres high, his little dingy couldn't handle it!

He tried to keep next to the dingy but just got hurlled around clinging on to the buoy.

About an hour into it, the storm cleared as quickly as it came. Taru was now in the ocean, stranded. He floated on his back with the buoy next to him, the harsh sun beating down on his face. His dry lips an irretance. The situation, a death sentence.

#Freewrite

Every now and again I write for 5 minutes continuously and do not stop until the timer runs out. What you read is a stream of words coming out all at once. No editing, no worrying. I find this creates amazing stories as you just have to let the words take you, rather than force them out. Enjoy.

Poor Taru! I hope he has more luck in the next life! :)
