Learn to keep your good news to yourself

in #friendship7 years ago

Good Evening Everyone! I'm experiencing something at the moment and I feel I should share it with everyone on here.

There is a friend of mine who claimed to be my friend and also claimed to have been my friend with one mind.

One day, he was given something in our place of work which I refused to accept as a result of the fact that I do not want it at that particular point in time. So when he was told that I didn't accept it due to my financial incapacity he started spreading news about me, telling people I have been living above my income.

Later another set of items were gotten which were better than the first items that was shared, I immediately signified my intention and I was given.

Unknowingly to me, I shared this great news with him and when he heard that the new items were better that the previous, he decided to reject his so as to get from the new items but was denied. He was very bitter and returned the items that was given to him and started spreading it around that I knew all these while that new items were on the way.

To cut the story short and not to deviate from our subject heading, always keep your good news to yourself. Those you called your friends might not be happy when you share your success story.

To some, your achievement might be threats to them which will trigger hatred out of them especially toxic friends. They always wanna hold on to something today and mock you with it tomorrow.

Thanks.
