Vitamin B12, cure against depression?
There are many symptoms of a vitamin B12 deficiency. There are many people who suffer from complaints of:
- Attention disorder
- Memory issues
- Aphasia
- Ataxia
- Anemia
And a lot of other day-to-day problems that over the long term can cause complaints of depression.
Vitamin B12 is very important in the progress of producing red blood-cells and nerve cells. It is also necessary for the construction of proteins which are the building blocks of the body. If we have a deficiency we will be weak and less able to build muscles.
Meat, a great source of vitamin B12, but there are more and more people coming who are aspiring for a vegetarian diet. Which is great and I certainly support. The meat industry is ruining our environment and besides that, most of the farmers are putting in a lot of antibiotics in our meat which is not that good for our own health. But that’s for another discussion. I personally eat meat 2 times a week but exclusively from biological farmers. It is more environment friendly and healthier for our bodies.
So most kinds of meet ar a great source of vitamin B12, but do you have a problem now if you’re a vegetarian, do you have to take vitamin B12 supplements now? No! That isn’t necessary. There are many natural plant based foods that contain a high amount of vitamin B12. You just have to know where you have to look. Here are a few examples:
- Superfoods such as Chlorella & Spirulina(I will make a post of these two alga seperately, those are panaceas)
- brewer's yeast
- Comfrey
- Seaweed as dolce, kelp, kombu, wakame
- Barley grass
