This could be fun! A simple challenge for fun and originality.

Finally turned my silly calendar over to October. Found I missed acknowledging some intertesting special days. Friday was Evaluate Your Life day.

Today is Babbling Day.

A small challenge. Lets babble about evaluating your life. No rewards, just to be silly. No deep dark secrets need to be revealed. Just a synopsis of where you are today.

Keeping this at a decent length will be my problem. I am damn near 60, 40 years of marriage, two kids, two grandkids. Lots of evaluating going on here!

I'll take a quick run through here. These might sound like deep dark secrets. They aren't. They are my life. Can't ignore them while evaluating.

Graduated high school at 17. Supporting myself at 18. Married at 19.

Picked up and moved to different states 3 times.

My mom was an alcoholic, my father died at age 62 of cancer, our daughter was anorexic at age 17, my bother-in-law and son are both felons. My husband diagnosed at the tender age of 40 as bi-polar. That answers some things! Better late than never.

Small distractions in life.

Currently my husband has multiple health issues, I was let go from my job after 32 years, daughter is getting divorced, son moved back home and Grandkids aren't dealng with this well at all. Our daughter teetering on the edge of alcohol abuse.

But other than that. All is well.

So what does this all evaluate down to? I don't know.

I can say that I have a lot of life experience. I learned to adapt. I am strong, sometimes stupid and I am dedicted 100% to family. And friends.

These situations have overtaken my life at times. And consumed me. I let negative outweigh positive.

Not any more. Today I will say there isn't any situation we cannot get through.

Our marriage has been stormy in the past. Probably could have ended many times. Not what we wanted. Didn't sign up to quit.

Our kids couldn't be more opposites. That is a fun story I might post some day. But, with prejudice, our son is one of the most intetesting people I've known and our daughter the most naive and compassionate.

My husband, Ron, is a complicated guy with many good intentions. Since I was only 18 and he 24 when we met we spent a lot of time trying to catch up to each other. I was still maturing and he was fighting maturity. Red flag! But we did it. We laugh more now than ever. But he is still too damn serious. Lol

Oddly, our grandkids are still a bit of a mystery. Right now, the way they are acting out over the divorce, I'm stumped. I can tell you they get their emotions from our side of the family. Their other grandparents are way low key and wouldn't say shit if they had a mouthful of it. Never, never knew these children could be so angry and hateful. We are all concerned. Well, everyone but their dad. He has zilch in the emotion category. He feels they just need to get over it. Genevieve (isn't that a beautiful name?), is 14 and there are way too many temptations out there. And Cassius (yeah, his dad chose that name. He goes by Cash) is a mess.

This week I went with our daughter for free legal advice about the divorce. To sum up that meeting, she needs a paid attorney. Ya think? Guess who is paying :)

Ron is recovering from most recent surgery, blocked artery. I am plugging away at everything. Tyler owns 5 rental properties in Ohio, owns 4 vehicles, recently got his CDL and is driving. Rachel is hanging on by a thread. She needs tough love right now and I'm gearing up to give it to her. She is acting like a teenager, I will act like the mom of a teenager.

The grandkids are obviously first and foremost right now. If I get a handle on that, I'll let you know.

All in all I'd say we are doing fair to middlin.

How about you?

I would apologize for babbling but, nope. I have a good excuse. It is Babbling Day.

If you write, post using funny as the first tag and include babbling in post title. Hopefully we can find each others posts. Send me a linkin a comment! Again, for fun.

As always, a dose of reality with a touch of sarcasm.

Ahhhhh....your to funny...lol :)

You could share a babbling life evaluation.

I laughed at myself. Had no clue what I was doing when I started but that is what I ended up with.
