SmartSleep - a dressing to improve sleep from Philips
Smart gadget analyzes brain activity and helps to get better sleep.
Well known for its healthcare developments, the company introduced a headband device with smart sensors to combat sleep disorders and improve its quality.
SmartSleep has a headband made of soft textiles and looks like headphones without bowls of speakers. The transmission of sound, which plays an important role in the operation of the device, is realized through a bone conduction headset.
Embedded in the frontal part of the headband, the sensors analyze brain activity and determine the phases of sleep, fixing muscle relaxation, pulse and breathing.
At the moment when a person starts to leave the phase of slow sleep, the device broadcasts calming sounds like white noise, thereby stimulating a deeper and more useful sleep.
.All collected statistics are transferred to the mobile application, where the data is analyzed, and in the subsequent the user receives recommendations for improving sleep.
