Assistance For School After the Earthquake - Tsunami Disaster in Palu City and Donggala
Palu - Head of the Palu City Education and Culture Office H. Ansyar Sutiadi, S.Sos, M.Si appreciated the performance of Bait Al-Kamil volunteers who had helped the education process in Palu by taking part in handing over a number of learning equipment to hundreds of students at SD Inpres 2 Lere Jalan Asam 3, Monday (12/11).
The assistance in the form of a folding study table totaling 60 units was handed over directly at the emergency school. This emergency school is made from local, semi-permanent buildings made of bamboo.
Based on data from the Secretariat of the Disaster Safe Education Unit as of October 16, 2018, there were 1,185 schools, 177,166 students and 12,410 teachers in Palu City, Donggala, Sigi and Parigi Moutong Districts which were directly affected by the disaster. Of that number, most schools were closed because the building collapsed. So that the existence of this Emergency School can be used temporarily while waiting for further government repairs and assistance.

Return to School is a program unit of the Bait Al-Kamil Foundation that focuses on improving the quality of education of students, teachers and schools of poor people.
The School Return Program includes;
Program for Improving the Quality of Poor Students. This program is in the form of educational assistance, English language and mathematics tutorials, and mentoring for dhuafa students until they graduate.
Educator Quality Improvement Program. This program is a periodic workshop and monitoring activity for school teachers, madrasas or pesantren with emphasis on teaching methods and classroom management.
School Quality Improvement. The program consists of workshops, coaching and mentoring on teacher teaching methods and school management. In addition, this program also implements comprehensive leadership in schools to become a superior school.
