One of the major projects that a college student will have is the thesis part. Not only due to the fact that an enormous amount of research will be done but also there are some test, surveys and paperworks need to be accomplished.

On this update our scholars from Laguna both in the Business Management course share their experience and also what they did on the stippend that we gave.

If you will recall in our previous blog post about Carlo he shared about how social media plays a vital role in the marketing campaign for new products being launched in the market. They are able to defend their thesis and in the finalization of everything. From having a soft copy and sliding folders with the papers including their research they are now printing all the paperwork and having it on hardboundcopy. All of the funds that we have gave to Carlo were used for the finalization of the his thesis and it helped him greatly because having an extra budget for your studies especially if you are a working student really matters.

As I asked him about the main challenge that he encountered he said that the questions in the panel interview weren't that hard and most are already answered in the papers that they have made. The struggle happened on the unity of the group itself as he have shared. Since some of them are into extra curicullar activities like singing and dancing in school and some are doing work during night time like Carlo setting the meeting into a favorable timeline to all has been the most cause of conflict. There are times wherein they are having an infight amongst others because of that and as a leader what he did is delegate the task of each one of the members according to their skills and availability in that way they can still meet the goals.

On the other hand JM is also doing their thesis project. We weren't able to discuss the subject and topic but it is somehow different to what Carlo is into because he is on his 3rd year only. On the first month of him being an official scholar we gave him P2,0000 which is around $40.00 as per his expenses he stated that it helped him managed to save it for the whole month since each day his daily expenses is around P100.00 around $2.00. He is currently studying for the finals examination as the semester is nearing its closure. With our help and support we will be able to help him do that.
