Short but sweet...

People need to contribute something a little better, or at least more original; otherwise there will no money for anybody to make!

However, I originally came here as it was one of those 'free speech alternatives' that everybody was talking about when Reddit got too crazy strict as a result of Chairman Pao's legacy. In my eyes, VOAT took the replacement Reddit crown, but probably contains a little too much racism to ever have any mainstream appeal. Steemit on the other hand, contains a few too many third worlders copying English language media articles (badly) in a desperate attempt to earn a day's wages (about 3 SBD). This deters anybody that is ever capable of producing decent content from ever making an effort.
