Wellllllllll....let's see here.....If truth was told, this was the first example of why God created man FIRST....Eve was to follow his lead...Man failed and ruined things by allowing himself to be seduced by a woman. And, to this day, many a marriage is ruined by men who allow themselves to be led by women. He should have slapped that apple out of her hand; but, he yielded. He put his greed ahead of the Will of God.
Instead of accepting his fail, what did he do? He blamed GOD for giving him "that woman".... Thus the saying it takes two to tango....they were both wrong; but, the greater owness fell on Adam at the end of the day.
Ephesians 5 teaches that husbands are to love their wife; and wives are to submit to their husband...both as unto the Lord. If Adam loved Eve, he would have told her to go to God and ask forgiveness; but, instead, he submitted to her sinful idea.
Had Adam told God of Eve's sin, he might have been granted a more worthy replacement....now that's a lol!!!! (LITERALLY!)

Interesting, but the apple was an expression of everything the antithesis of love. The apple is symbolic of the hell-bent lustfulness of the carnal flesh.
Love went out the door with the first bite. Everything was harmonious in relationship before that...just sayin'....Before the forbidden fruit, there was no need for the writ of divorce.
