20 HORRIBLY Translated Signs!

As a native English speaker, I find these signs hilarious! They include hotel notices, street signs, public signs and a whole lot of others, thanks to the internet you don't have to travel there to see them.

2; I know a few people who could use this entrance.

4; I understand none of this. 


5; Goodbye For leaving!

7; I'm not even sure on this one.....

Google translation is 95% accurate, it's the 5% error that tells you how subtle a language can be.

It baffles me how nobody thought to double check though.

Often the error is one only a native speaker will spot. Sometimes an error of style, sometimes an error of tone or of grammar. Native tranlators are expensive, so a Google translation gets called in. To be fair, the Google translation is usually pretty good, but short sentences often do not translate well. Still, you do get the gist of the message, and at least they did try to translate for the English foreigners.
