Did you ever go to a restaurant and see a family with children? Of course you have. You may have wondered why the kids were so out of control, or perhaps how they were so good! Either way, there is a serious art to taking your kids out in public. It is even more of a specialty to do it by yourself. So lets set the record straight. Here are my top tips on surviving my 3 kids 😂

  1. Make sure the kids are practically starving when you arrive.
For my trip today, we woke up, didnt eat breakfast, went straight to a grocery store, ate a few fruit pouches while there, then drove two hours to the restaurant. These kids listened to everything I said cause they knew they would be one step closer to that meal!

  2. Order all your food to go, but dont go 😂
Sometimes, if you're really playing the supermom card, you place that order on the mobile app. Aint nobody trying to carry ten trays of food and salsa to the table with a baby on your back and toddlers running amuck. Get your food to go and they hand it to you in two nicely organized bags, easing your ten step journey to the table.

  3. Let the kids make all their own choices.
You have to be a boss here. When that employee asks you what you want for the kids you direct them to the kids. Your kids will legit think they are the coolest in the world for placing their own order and you now have the time to focus on loading your burrito with extra everything. You might even buy enough time to get your wallet out and pay before they finish.

  4. Sit at the biggest table you can find
This should probably be number 1 as far as importance goes. That table needs to be big enough for a family of ten to sleep on. If you think you found a big enough table think again. You will need to dig through bags of food, chips, and salsas on that table. And just when you think you have space to eat, a drink and five salsa containers will spill all over said space and you're back at square one. You better not forget the kids space either. We all know the kids won't actually sit on the seat, so be sure there is room for them on the table, or else.

  5. Have fun, and talk! What is dinner without some silliness and love anyway?

Enjoy your next day out with the kids! Remember, if I can do it, anyone can 😉
