A little quiz for travellers

I was spending a lazy evening, looking through the pictures of one of the greatest trips of mine. And I found these pictures. Now I have a little quiz for you. Do you want to play with me?

Can you guess what the destination was? I will give you some hints.

1. It's not a capital now but it used to be. Moreover, it was founded to be the capital city.

2. One of the oldest theatres in the world is situated there. And it’s definitely the country to visit if you want to go to the theater.

3. The name of this city was changed four times. The modern name is the same as the first one.

4. 10% of the city territory is covered with water.

5. Including famous suburbs, there are more bridges than in Venice.

6. Before I visited it, my favourite European city has been Paris. Now they are equally beautiful to me. And I think, they have some resemblance.
