At a time in the future, after the “Event”, humanity has prevailed! Rising up from the ashes of the zombie apocalypse, not only have we triumphed and eradicated the spreading disease, but we have now come to use zombies for both manual labor and our personal entertainment — mainly in the Battleground arena!

Zombie trainers unleash their hand-picked armies of 30 unique creatures against each other, in order to take down their opponent’s mighty zombie hero. Each trainer can use one of the 6 elemental factions for their strengths, but must also be very aware of their weaknesses. Each hero amasses the power of one of the elements: Fire, Water, Life, Toxic, Air, and Earth. The hero is protected by its own zombie horde of the same faction, and together, they unleash fury upon their matched opponent.

Every battle is one of a kind, owing to the millions of unique deck combinations and strategies available. You — the trainer — need to stay sharp, devise your own tactics, and be extremely flexible during these fast-paced and spectacular battles.

...and to all of the new trainers out there: Which Zombie is the best, the toughest, the most fierce?

On the battleground, you command a horde to do battle with unique and challenging competitors. Your goal is simple: amass an unstoppable army of zombies to fight under your zombie hero. Protect your hero like your life depends on it (because it does) and destroy your opponent's to win. Make them wish they hadn't been matched with you. Make them wish they were dead… more dead!

Skill required. You'll have to assemble the right deck and play your cards right to win, but you won’t need to be paying freemiums to be the best. We've designed the game to reward you with plenty of loot as you hone the skills you’ll need to win. The depth of your pocketbook holds no weight in the Zombie Battleground, only your cunning will save your Zombie Hero from death after death.

Gaming the system is out of the question. There's no trump card you can buy or cheat code you can enter, you'll need to collect, trade, and strategize for every battle. You can buy cards, but you won’t be able to purchase your way to victory. If you’re willing to put in the hard work—we’ve designed the game to reward you with plenty of loot as you hone your skills and prove your worth.

So the question is, what will you bring to the battleground?

We've planned out a great core game and can’t wait to share it with you. On top of the core game, we are planning some incredible (additional) features for our stretch goals.

Fast-paced, lots of loot

We get it, you’re busy… but you want to game. Zombie Battleground is a game that will fit into those moments in your life where you just want to unleash a bit of chaos. Our target match length of five minutes is perfect between classes or when you’re waiting for your order. Every match will be action-packed and have a chance for loot with guaranteed rarity.

Master the elements to survive

Not every deck will have what it takes to protect your Zombie Hero and unleash the fury upon your opponents. Make sure to strategize early and bring your prowess to the Battleground. Featuring six elements to start (Air, Earth, Fire, Life, Toxic, and Water), you’ll have to balance the strengths and weaknesses to match your deck and playing style. There will be millions of deck combinations, so you’ll need to know what you're doing, and plan ahead to win.

Spooky artificial intelligence

Since you’ll never know if you’re going to face a blitz of Feral Zombies or a strong defender who will wear you down… you’ll need to balance your deck to be prepared a dizzying array of AI opponents. These opponents will play with varied personas and decks, so even in single player, you’ll have a very sneaky (and fast) opponent on your hands. Better yet, our AI is built to evolve as the game gathers more metadata from matches, new AI profiles will emerge to surprise you! It’ll be an arms race against AI, who will win?

Besides quick AI battles, you can play solo adventures that are self-contained campaigns, each with challenging opponents, fun storylines, and new cards.

The most open marketplace possible

Trade cards with other plays or sell them at any price you set, just like a garage sale. You’ll be able to see how many of that card exist in the game, your card’s actual rarity, and the historical selling price of the card. Because our marketplace is built on open, blockchain technology, anyone can audit and verify the number of cards and ownership of items.

We will provide you with a great marketplace, but other developers can also build their own version of the marketplace with additional features. This is the most open game economy possible.

Play for supremacy

Battle other players in ranked matches or hone your craft in practice mode. Online play will also pack great rewards, especially for the most dedicated players. After the initial release, Zombie Battleground will also feature community events with new cards and more – again, all with measurable, provable rarity!

Built to grow

We’ve got a plan for continuous growth and expansion. All of our additions will keep the balance and strategy you’ll come to love. We’ll never introduce pay-to-win schemes or take away cards you’ve earned. Over time, the game will expand with:
