Fortnite for iOS is available to all users

Epic Games has taken the iOS version of Fortnite out of beta and made it available to all users. The game was previously only available by invitation. The studio doesn't give any news about the Android version yet.

The final release of the iOS version was announced on Twitter by Epic Games. The release follows quite soon after the release of the beta, less than a month ago. People could sign up for that test version and then send invitations to others.

That restriction has now been removed and all owners of a suitable iOS device can now download and play Fortnite Battle Royale. The game works on the iPhone SE, 6S, 7, 8 and X. The game on the iPad Mini 4, Air 2, 2017 and Pro is also playable. Although Epic doesn't mention the new iPad that was announced at the end of March, the game probably works on that as well.

Fortnite Battle Royale for iOS is based on the game's PC and console versions, and cross-play between platforms is possible. The game is free to play and contains microtransactions for cosmetic items.
