Opporty Updates: December 25–31, 2017

Another week has gone by, and 2017 has come to an end. At Opporty, the final week of 2017 was full of new challenges. The team worked hard to perfect our platform’s existing features, and deliver new ones. Here are some of Opporty’s latest updates!

Gamification 2.1 Rewards

Complete gamification tasks and get Opporty rewards!

Opporty continues to hone our Gamification feature. As mentioned previously, the feature allows users who register as companies to get rewarded for completing certain actions on the platform.

The latest update was aimed at delivering a more advanced reward system. Aside from tokens and additional rating points, users can now get one of three types of rewards: badges of honour, cups and medals. There are, bronze, silver and gold rewards, depending on the complexity of a task the user completes. Each reward earned will be featured on the user’s gamer panel.

We have also been thinking about how to make the feature more accessible to those who have been using the platform for some time. Users who fulfilled certain tasks prior to gamification activation (e.g. company verification) will have the action recorded in their account and will get rewarded according to the rules. Any task previously completed will be rewarded!

New Rewards for Contribution to Opporty Blog

One action users can be rewarded for is a contribution to the Opporty blog. Any users with a company account can write an article, post it and wait for it to pass moderation. If the article meets the requirements and complies with the rules of Opporty’s blog, our moderators will post the article. The author will be rewarded with a cup and rating points, and will be able to proceed to the next level.

Marketplace Prototypes Approved

We have completed another successful step toward creating a top-notch design — we have created prototypes for design layouts of the Opporty service marketplace. The team is working to deliver a fully operational and feature-packed marketplace interface based on an e-commerce model. This will be an upgrade to the existing design, making the marketplace more user-friendly. Also, these changes provide for blockchain integration to the platform, which is our primary goal.
