[Analysis/Review] Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy.

in #gaming7 years ago

We do not know if nostalgia can move mountains, but it is clear that it does embark players in the illusion of recovering characters as emblematic as Crash. If you had a PlayStation, you're obliged to stay in this post. But also if you don't had one. After all, we talk about an important part of the history of videogames. Analysis of Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy.

The authors themselves doubt the denomination that should have this videogame. Remastered or remake?, In Vicarious Visions they have always maintained that the answer is not simple. For them, a remaster would not have been possible in this case because the original code was not available. On the other hand, a remake would not have been viable, since they did not want to rework something that already liked the players.

In the making of Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy come into play feelings of nostalgia, which are in the end the most powerful. Any change could infuriate the more than 20 million players (dates by VGChartz) which proved it in its day in PlayStation. However, a lack of novelties would equally be perceived as negative. The solution has a name, and has been given by the same developers. "Remaster plus". It is more than a remaster, but without becoming a remake.

It is not good to always rely on these comments, but the truth is that it offers exactly what is promised. The video game, when you put it on your PS4, feels like twenty years ago, and that's the amazing thing. The emulation of Naughty Dog's original work in the late 90's is incredible, tracing not only the spiritual basis, but also the gameplay ... of course with all the necessary changes to make it a launch of its own in 2017.

Developers comment who tried to get into the situation of Naughty Dog back in 1996. They saw the material on which they were inspired (Looney Tunes), and played a lot. They studied control, conceptual arts and even promotional material. This is how they started, emulating the original level geometry. From there, they added their own graphics and melodies.

Understanding this, it is easy to conclude that Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy possesses the skeleton of the original three games, but now has completely new organs. The main one is the one that refers to the visual section. All elements of the stage have been designed from scratch, giving greater detail to each box, platform, enemy ... with textures and lighting adapted to the current times.

The result is simply wonderful, especially as we move from one delivery to the next. Those titles appeared in a small time frame, but still the jump was noticeable. It may be hard to believe, but you put the three in this remastering and that perception is maintained. There's still that point of excellence in Crash Bandicoot: Warped (the third of them) that you do not notice in the others. For something was the most outstanding video game of all, a vision manifested by the number of critics, who came to consider it as the peak of PlayStation.

Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy is a true class of history, while allowing a very constructive exercise of nostalgia. The development team says that the first thing they did was look at the aspects that were being introduced game after game. So they came up with a storage system and unified control points for the three deliveries, as well as autosave and a menu of game that includes information on progress and unlockables.

That is, basically everything is made more accessible, but without diminishing the difficulty. It's still a terrifyingly desperate game when he want it, and maybe it's something that should have been polished somehow. It does not help that the control is somewhat imprecise, especially in the first delivery, with some lag in Crash's response. But of course, we are not talking about a remake, but a remastering in which they have not wanted to touch too much.

EDIT:
I've wasted time and money supporting you. But you just stole someone else's work, translated it, and tried to profit off it. Don't know what to say.

Criminally under-voted post. You deserve some more exposure for this!

Well-written (could do with some minor proofreading and copy-editing, but so what? Is English your native language?) and real effort to include a number of screenshots.

This really is awesome content, thank you. I've been thinking of getting this game for my wife as she used to play it many years ago on her PlayStation, and we played a bit of it in the part in Uncharted 4 where it's on Drake's TV. :)

Thanks, will be following you and expecting more great posts like this!

Sorry, I'm gonna delete my account tomorrow for not to cause more inconvenience, it really was not my intention, i really, really apologize with all of you for all the problems.

Well, I don't think you need to go as far as to delete your account. Just never do this again.

You'll see that there are a lot of people trying hard to make it on this platform, and there are also people actively seeking out undiscovered authors who they believe deserve better exposure and rewards for their posts. When you plagiarize, you undermine all of this.

Rather see that if you put the work in and produce good content, you WILL eventually be noticed and rewarded for it. But don't do this anymore, please.

That's what I believe. I thought many times of making low effort posts just for the sake of posting but I don't do that (usually) because I think this community deserves better.

Let's make it THE place to come for Originality!!

Oh God... I think we have just been scammed, @gaming-trail and anyone else. I believe this is nothing more than a poorly Google-translated version of this:

I've spent money on upvote and promotion bots for you because I thought, here is a guy from South America trying his best and putting in excellent effort, the kind which this community deserves. Here is a guy who has written a great review and put real time into selecting screenshots and embedding them into his piece.

But no. You've just plagiarized someone else's work, haven't you?

I'll never get the money back I've put into trying to support you, but I'm glad I have at least discovered this before more people made similar mistakes.

@steemcleaners

I have played the first three games on PS1 and I'm glad they kept the personality of the games for PS4 version. at least graphically (looks the same but better) since I haven't played it.
