The Story Mode - Should games have a separate mode where elements of it are reduced or eliminated if they are deemed too difficult? Is the way it’s meant to be played not really the way it’s meant to be played, but merely busywork that just blocks the players access to the story? There are no easy answers here.

Personally, having very little time to game, I really enjoy having a story mode. I hate really getting into a game story, just to never find out how things turn out when I get stuck due to the gameplay.

It's something easier than easy mode. But some games has the opposite, ultra hard nightmare hardcore mode.

Nothing better then a quality game yo!!

Good luck for future

All the problems of the world could be settled easily if men were only willing to think. The trouble is that men very often resort to all sorts of devices in order not to think, because thinking is such hard work.

Story mode is really important, especially for those with bad skill, don't have much time or simply want enjoy the story.
All game developer should think about this mode if they want to make game where the story is important part in the game.

I think in depends on the game. If it's a game like Diablo or Victor Vran, where it has some in-game features to balance difficulty and where farming/leveling up before continuing is possible, it is necessary. But for certain games, i want the game to have better AI for harder modes. For example GUN's hardest mode was just 'insane'. Because it made no improvement for AI but rather made easier to be killed. So you would die with just a bullet and would have to play over and over again. It is just frıstrating.

So this could be a solution: having two different sliders can be a good solution. One slider effecting the AI and how intelligent it is. The other effects damage taken etc.
