First impressions on Urgot rework

Urgot, the Dreadnought, is set to hit the Summoner’s Rift in League of Legends soon as his rework by the looks of it, is flat out amazing.

For a long time now, Urgot, the Dreadnought, wasn’t truly able to shine due to a kit that didn’t quite match up to his lore in League of Legends. Urgot is supposed to be the ultimate sight of evil, an imposing figure of man and machine fused through pain but sadly, he wasn’t able to inflict such damage that lived up to all this.

Well, all that is about to change. Urgot has gone through a massive rework that will now bring him back into a better place in the Summoner’s Rift. He got a new visual update that should strike fear in opponents standing in his way. His kit now reflects that of horror that once is unleashed, will truly be a force to reckon with.

By the looks of Urgot’s rework, he will finally be a viable top lane champion. He’ll be a juggernaut that has the capability of really pumping out some solid CS thanks to his passive – Echoing Flames where yes, it’s true, Urgot can shoot flames from the shotguns in his legs.
Besides that, his kit will finally be something worth mentioning. Urgot’s Q – Corrosive Charge can slow down a group of enemies as his W – Purge allows him to get shielded, walk over minions, and attack enemies that are prioritized via Echoing Flames.

Urgot’s E – Disdain gives him a charge ability that if he hits it against an enemy champion, will throw them to the other side of him. Most impressive of all is Urgot’s ultimate ability, R – Fear Beyond Death.

This ultimate launches a hexdrill beacon that right off the bat impales them while dealing a good amount of damage and slows them.

If the enemy champion is at low health after it’s launched, Urgot may re-cast it which will then reel them in for execution which is quite the satisfying kill. During the re-casting part, an enemy champion is un-targetable and can only be canceled by Urgot himself.

After the execution, all nearby enemies are terrified. Needless to say, this is one powerhouse of a kit that finally matches up to everything Urgot is about. Expect to see this newly reworked champion in patch update 7.15!
