Dead By Daylight Review

Dead By Dawn

Dead By Daylight is an 4v1 First Person and Third Person Horror game created by Behaviour Interactive.

In this game, you either play as 4 Survivors, or a lone, unstoppable Killer. The survivors are tasked with finding and repairing 5 generators to escape while the Killer must hunt down, find and attack the Survivors before carrying them off to hang them from hooks to sacrifice to a being known only as 'The Entity.'

As of now, there are a handful of Procedurally generated maps and 5 monsters, as well as the survivors. All of the characters (Including the Killers) are customisable and have deep skill trees and item customisation, as well as the ability level up.

You can play privately with friends or in online ranked matches, though the game doesn't have any offline modes with bots and the such, meaning that you have to be online (Obviously) so no players, no game. Luckily, a year on, there are still a lot of people playing so it isn't too difficult to find a game; just don't be surprised if you find yourself waiting for extended periods of time.

Though, that minor issue aside, as well as Pier-to-Pier connection issues like Hosts rage quitting, the game is incredibly enjoyable. It provides some truly scary moments and intense chases, there's definitely a great game here that I would recommend to anyone when it's on sale, and possibly full price, since it isn't TOO expensive.

So, if anyone's looking for a fun multiplayer Horror game, you should certainly check out this game over the erm... OTHER Multiplayer Horror Games.

So, that's Dead by Daylight. I give it an 8/10, a solid game that would definitely be incredible fun if you could get some friends together, but plays just fine alone too.

This game is very fun with friends otherwise if you play solo better just watch it on twitch really enjoyable

I don't have anyone to play it with just yet, so I've been enjoying it solo for now, can't wait for my friend to pick it up soon though.

when playing solo, being the killer is so much fun!

Asymmetric gameplay is truly a joy, I'm glad more games are incorporating it, but I was disappointed with Dead by Daylight when i tried it out.

The borked lobby system and constant glitches really threw me off the game, and I did not like the progression system at all. I was really bummed because I was really looking forward for a good Asymmetric experience, and this had potential.

Anyways, great post my dude! Followed.

Thanks man, I do love Assymetric gameplay too. Ever since Evolve back in what- 2014? That game style has really caught my interest, just can't believe it took a whole year for me to try this out.
Though, it's certainly less buggy than that other asymmetric horror game that came out recently.

For sure, but both are getting praise worthy attention. So the market it there.

And maybe Dead by Daylight has been much improved, I played it when it just released, and it was a shit show to say the least.

Also when Evolve went F2P it was so fun! Why did they have to shut it down? :( gaming industry can be a cruel mistress sometimes.

Anyways, here's to more Assymetric games! :D

It has definitely been fixed up now, sould recommend giving it another shot if you can.

Agreed though, Evolve tried so hard, was kinda sad really. Do hope we get to see more Asymmetrical games, because they're damn fun.
