Finally, A Pokemon Game Everyone's Been Waiting For

Yesterday during their E3 spotlight, Nintendo announced that the development of a formal Pokemon game for the Nintendo Switch is in the works.

Aside from all the buzz about the Pokken Tournament DX, a game that mirrors last year’s Pokken tournament - a game in which two players compete in a PvP style “Pokemon Battle.” Think of it like a pokemon version of Super Smash Bros.

But the real buzz is coming from the new Pokemon game, and RPG designed specifically for the Nintendo Switch. The internet has EXPLODED, speculating as to whether or not the upcoming game could be the rumored Pokemon Stars, said to be the connect between Sun and Moon on the 3DS to the switch.

Stars or not, whatever this next game is, it’s gonna be great. The same developer that made the original Pokemon Red and Blue games, Gamefreak, is going to be the company responsible for creating the next generation of Pokemon, and along with it, introduce a their LARGEST audience ever to what Pokemon is all about.

In the wake of news about the Pokemon game for the Switch, Niantic, the company who brought us Pokemon Go, has made moves to retaliate. Today, they released a huge update to their app, bringing back on the board as one of the largest grossing apps of 2017 on google play and itunes.

I agree @inber I really want a good, official remake of all the old school pokemon games, like red and blue. Those were the days...
