My In a Nutshell Review Series - Another Brick In The Mall

Another Brick in the Mall is in Version 0.6.0.4 at the writing of this post. It has a Prison Architect play style to the game but you run and manage a Mall. It has unique artwork and themes. Another Brick in the Mall is a Simulation Management Sandbox in Alpha

The staff list is not too long but leaves room for many additions as the game grows. I spotted a few Youtubers playing this game a few months ago and was hooked by its micromanagement and simulation theme.

Kicking off a new Mall

After pressing the "Start" button you are taken into the following screen and it doesn't seem too bad. Everyone starts on the same foot, Jump ahead 2 hours and your results will vary based on how you managed your Mall.

As you can see I have a "mediocre corner store complex" with a general store and a fast food joint. Oh and a Bus Stop!!!
I had to unlock the Bus Stop before I could put it down. Now this game does have a tech tree, in the latest version you need a office worker and an office space so they can research and eventually (Once researched) run marketing advertisements.

Now Lets talk about Lena CISNEROS

As you can see Lena is standing in line, right at the front luckily. You can tell by the look on her face that she has been in that line for quite some time although unlike others she has stayed patiently waiting in line. Now Lena is a former cook meaning she is more likely to buy items to do with cooking, If she so happens to walk past that shelf. Some people have small bladders and others are just impatient.
The game Has alot of room to grow and improve and until then I would not recommend buying the game as it comes with bugs and minor disappointments. BUT hopefully the team behind it can bring it into the spotlight it really deserves.

This review is limited due to the talking points of the game being variables at the moment. I will not be supplying a full review until a fuller version of the game is released so keep an eye out for it if you enjoy the concept of this game!

For now I give it a Nut-cracking 6!
