Game Review - The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (SNES) 'Dark World'
Stemiants Hello everyone! Today I decided to "return" to the web by presenting the videogame 'The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past'. This game was developed by Nintendo and released on November 21, 1991 in Japan, arriving next year in the US and Europe for the SNES console. As a great novelty have appeared new elements that are currently essential in the Legend of Zelda saga, as the Master Sword and improvements in the dungeons.
History
A Link to the Past, before the events of the game puts us in the land of Hyrule, where people have rumored that the Triforce, a relic to bestow the greatest desire the person who touches, is in a site called Sacred Realm. A being called Ganondorf Triforce managed to touch that, turning the Sacred Realm in a dark and barren land called Dark World and he became a beast known as Ganon. Ganon soon armed an army to conquer Hyrule but was sealed by the Seven Sages in the Dark World.
Centuries later, the sorcerer Agahnim deceived and deposed the King of Hyrule, sent to capture the Seven Maidens (descendants of the Seven Sages) and seeks to break the seal placed on Ganon. Zelda, the princess of Hyrule and one of the Seven Maidens is imprisoned for Agahnim for use in their ritual. With a distress message contact Link and her uncle asking to be rescued. Uff ... I know it's long but sums as I could.
Graphics
A Link to the Past features excellent graphics in which, despite the time this game has the best graphics that can offer the console of Nintendo, characters, enemies and scenarios are given to light, and animations they gave that talk in their day. The objects are cared for in detail and gives very good visibility of movement and depth. You can see during the post some captures demonstrating the above said.
Sound
The musical section of this title is masterful, I do not know if it's my thing, but the melodies are the best and give you the right atmosphere regardless of where you place yourself. Despite the limitations of the SNES video game console, sound quality is very good, although the sound effects are not as surprising and striking as the music.
Gameplay
It was time to discuss the best of A Link to the Past. The fun that can be achieved through this title is unspeakable, and it becomes easy to enter and continue playing for hours. It is a whole world to explore and interact.
Throughout the adventure, only Link, our protagonist, will be given a ride. Running through many places to save Hyrule from the coming of the evil Ganon. Easy to play, with very simple controls for comfortable take this trip.
Despite the big world it will be impossible to miss, as the game can access the map, guiding correctly, which indicates our location and the points that we visit to follow the story. If you are in a dungeon, the map will change, indicating the rooms visited and the floor where we are located.
The road will not be easy, because as an action game the adventure will be full of enemies. While some are simple, there is no reason to trust, many opponents will face your skills and even to face them effectively, making sometimes we make use of any of our items to finish them.
The amount of objects is very varied, causing the use of sword and shield is not enough. As a good adventurer we will use bow and arrows, some bombs to uncover secrets and many others that require use of our magic, offering useful skills against adversity.
Conclusion
In general I want to recommend this videogame to everyone, regardless of whether they played it in their day or not. The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past is, without a doubt, one of the most outstanding adventures and one of the best for the SNES. Few will manage to surpass the quality of this classic, in which a story managed to be a legend.
