Corsair k70 RGB Rapid Fire Keyboard Cherry MX Speed Review

The keyboard looks great and has a nice weight about it keeping it glued to the desk, no flex due to the materials used in the frame.

The keycaps have a nice big font on them and the symbols are lit as well. In use the keyboard feels really good although the Mx speed switches are aimed at e-gaming they do just as well in an everyday environment once you get used to them.

Cherry MX Speed have a low 1.2 actuation with a light amount of force need to achieve it and there not to clicky. Even though as my daily driver I have chosen to use dampening o rings, which do little to change the characteristics of the switches they do reduce the clickyness. The click factor is on a par with Cherry MX Red switches.
The lighting is one of the best in the industry and only razer come close. The software is easy to use and you can download custom profile straight from the app, making customisation an absolute breeze.

Plus if like me you happen to have and RGB mouse and headphone stand from corsair then there is the ability to have a lighting link layer so that they sync together. Maybe one day soon this will include the fans and motherboard lighting too. This is only so the reason I chose this to be my daily driver as a hope to the future.
There are dedicated media keys including a volume roller, I find these rollers a godsend a real step up from having to hold down a Fn key and keep tapping another key.

This keyboard also features a thick braided USB cable which splits giving a USB pass-through and a detachable soft touch wrist rest also as an extra bonus FPS/MOBA keycaps with a puller to help you change them over.

Conclusion

A real winner of a keyboard with some of the best support software out there. I cannot find anything to really niggle about and liked it so much I actually bought it with my own money.

I love the corsair cherry switch keyboards, it's very nice to press and not as loud as other types of mechanical keyboards.
I'm a big fan for corsair, I don't like their mouses too much but I think that they hit it just right with the keyboards!
