The game was under development for almost ten years. We became acquainted with the game when it was unveiled as Final Fantasy XIII Versus for the PlayStation 3. Fortunately, the game proved to have survived the development and turned out to be a top game of Japanese soil. A game where you experience a road trip with Prince Noctis and his followers and have a lot of freedom to do and to leave what you want. If you missed the game at that time for whatever reason, then you get a second chance with Final Fantasy XV Royal Edition.

In short, Final Fantasy XV Royal Edition is the ultimate edition of Final Fantasy XV. On the one hand, this is because the game has received a lot of improvements in a year, which makes it a whole lot better. On the other hand, the game comes with the Season Pass and accompanying dlc and a number of extras. This makes it a wonderful total package and this a reason to bring the game into your home.

A fascinating story

The most important reason for getting Final Fantasy XV Royal Edition into his home is his base. The main story of Final Fantasy XV is simply fascinating. Noctis is a character that is well worked out and you feel connected to him fairly quickly. His friends complement his personality and together with them you experience an adventure that stays with you for a long time. In addition, you come across various other interesting characters and environments that appeal to the imagination.

Visually appealing

An additional advantage of this is that the game looks (still) good. Especially on a PlayStation 4 Pro or an Xbox One X you benefit from the beautiful environments that you encounter. So the water runs almost in your mouth when you decide to make a delicious dish at a campfire, because they look so very good. And there are many locations in the game that are worth a visit and take a picture.

Good fighting system

On the way there is plenty to experience and you will end up in battles more than once. If you only played the old Final Fantasy games, then you think of a turn-based fighting system. That is fortunately not the case in Final Fantasy XV Royal Edition. You fight as if it were an action game, so the pace is pretty high. In addition, you have to keep a close eye on the health of yourself and your fellow players. Especially the boss battles can be a big challenge.

All dlc

The top three points are actually already reasons to get the basic game that you can score for a lower price. Fortunately, Final Fantasy XV Royal Edition also has a few unique advantages. The first is that you immediately have all the dlc. That means you can play the three Episodes with Ignis, Gladiolus and Prompto. You can also get started right away with the Comrades multiplayer extension. If you add this to the main story that you have been working on for a while, then you now have a game where you can entertain yourself for weeks.

As if that is not enough, Final Fantasy XV Royal Edition also has a few unique bonuses. In this way the map is expanded with the Insomnia City Ruins, where you can experience a lot of new adventures. You also have a Royal Vessel Boat, with which you can sail freely over the water and from there you can go fishing. Finally, the game comes with a number of skins for your car and other items that you can use during your adventure. Final Fantasy XV Royal Edition is thus the ultimate Final Fantasy XV.
