Megaman - Old Games - Post 1

in #gaming7 years ago

I believe megaman was part of the childhood of many people. So to start my series of posts about old games, let's talk about it

Megaman is a series of games started in 1987 by Nintendo Entertainment System and published by Capcom. This series has many (really many) games for different platforms like: Game Boy, Super nintendo, Saga Staturn, all platforms of playstation, Xbox, Wii among others.

The classic megaman series consists of 10 franchise sets

There is also the Megaman X series

Megaman Zero series

Megaman Legends series

Also several other Megaman titles

History

Two robot geniuses, Dr. Albert Wily and Dr. Thomas Light, create a new generation of robots superior to any others already created, the Robot Masters. Wily, a former partner of Dr. Light (the creator of Megaman), seeing the incredible potential of the robots, begins to imagine that with them under his command, he could have enormous power in his hands. By sharing his domain plans with Light and having negative feedback, he steals his initial project, Protoman (Blues, in the original Japanese), to serve him along with other robots. Dr. Light then creates Rock, a robot lab assistant and Roll, a domestic helper,. When Wily decides to use the Robots to commit terrorism, Rock does not understand why his brothers are committing such outrages and asks Dr. Thomas Light to turn him into a battle robot to stop Wily. Then appears Mega Man, the blue robot that always spoils the evil plans of Wily.

Some time later, Dr. Light creates a new robot named X. X was a very strong robot, so he had the ability to disregard the 3 laws of robotics. With fear, Dr. Light decides to leave X stored in a capsule so that in the future humanity will have better control over the robots. Therefore, this creation is only awakened a century later by explorer Dr. Cain. X's technology was advanced even for that time and gave rise to a new type of robots called reploids. Some reploids, however, revolted against humanity, they were called the Mavericks. It's up to X and the Maverick Hunters to stop this threat. The new villain of the series is Sigma.

In Mega Man Zero, the game changes: X (the original) is gone and its perfect copy controls a city where peace is kept forcibly. Ciel, the rebel leader, leads an expedition to find the legendary Reploid, Zero. Found in a state of suspended animation, Zero is brought back to life by Ciel and soon thereafter joins her and the Resistance against Copy X. Zero also encounters the 4 guardians: Harpuia, Leviathan, Fefnir, and Phantom.

If you want to know the history better, take a look at the games and if you have some time, play it,will be worth.

I hope you enjoy
