PUBG start test with playing area with quarter of normal size

The new playing area has been given the code name Savage and would virtually measure approximately four by four kilometres. That should make playing the shooter faster and more intense, is the thought of the makers. In a blog post on Steam Community they explain the plans in more detail.

For the time being, Savage is only subjected to a closed test. Players can sign up for play sessions between April 2 and April 5, but will only be admitted by invitation. The makers of PUBG are going to give away keys on social media, but from Monday more information will be released on how to get access.

The reason for the closed test is that the makers first want to gather feedback before the playing area is released to more players. After implementing the feedback, Savage will probably be accessible to all players of PUBG, but it is still unclear when exactly that will be; previously the makers only let go that this will be before the summer.
