Hi All

So as many of you might know, Cryptopets Beta version is scheduled to launch this April. I am pretty excited for it, especially because they are developing this game in partnership with Arcade Distillery and Luc Bernard! Arcade Distillery is known for amazing, unique graphics and this is what we can clearly see in the Cryptopets designs also. And since Cryptopets is being developed in partnership with a successful game studio, it's gameplay quality is on an another level. It is not another Cryptokitty clone with breedable cards, but a  a full video game universe, allowing players to utilize digital assets in ways never before seen. Because of this unique gaming experience, crypto influencers like Steven D. McKie had joined as an advisor in the Cryptopets team. 

In order to encourage community participation in this project, Cryptopets has recently launched a Sticker Contest. Each participant can submit 5 entries based on reference art given in the article. This reference art is basically 5 different Cryptopets which have been released till now. Even though I am not an artist, I still decided to participate because I really couldn't resist the prizes!!

• 1st Place: Diamond level pet of your choice (.3% of population)
• 2nd Place: Platinum level pet of your choice (3% of population)
• 3rd Place: Gold level pet of your choice (9% of population)

I used Pixlr for drawing this stickers. It is a free online app with some nice features. The best thing is that it does not have too many features, complexities and is very light weight. Good for people like me who don't want to be professional artists, but just do it for fun and creativity.

So here are my 5 entries: 

1) Princer:

Here I have drawn a dancing Princer. Just plain black outline and bucket painting. Simple yet catchy!

2) Pebbler:

I used a combination of sketching tool and bucket painting. Our pebbler is making a stone and sand ball.

3) Breezling:

Original Version

I used ink tool and star brush to draw this one. The music notes represent beautiful music which is created when breezlings travel through air. This one is my least favorite. Somehow it looks way too childish.  

4) Heatyena:

It is basically what I imagine a pup of Heatyena might look like. He is sleeping all curled up, has pinkish, red skin with yellow glow around him. And his pet bowl contains something similar to coal.

5)  Phribbit:

I used 50% opaque scattered brush for this. The black background was unintentional, but it looks much better than the transparent one. This one is my favourite design, not just because of the art, but mainly because of the idea. Phribbit which is a frog version of Cryptopets, is kissing a princess dummy. Maybe he thinks a princess will kiss him and he will become a prince. Funny, huh!
