My Top 15 Steam Winter Sale Buyers Guide

in #gaming8 years ago

Why hello everyone, long time no steem.

Well I am back and I come baring gifts, or at the very least a welcome release for your wallets.

As some of you may be aware, steam has recently started their Annual Winter Sale, among a few other small ways to make some money for your steam wallets. I will be going through my pick of the 15 best games on sale, and what should be stated is that this is my opinion and should be treated as such, as well as speak about a few of the small ways to make money using a few of their winter deals, But first, the 15, in no particular order

15: Watchdogs 2 -  33% off

While the first game fell on some troubles due to it being utter trash, The sequel, based in a separate setting and with an all new cast, looks to change peoples perception of the franchise, And in my opinion, they succeeded beyond a shadow of a doubt in capturing nerd culture and creating a live, fun world.

14: Fallout 4 - 67% off

The much anticipated game from Bethesda and although it had a rough start, patches have rolled out to fix most of the issues, A steal at this price in my opinion

13: GTA V - 50% off

The best game in the Grand Theft Auto series, receiving constant online support and a thriving player base awaits any newcomers. Enter at own risk.

12: Grim Dawn - 45% off

A new action RPG that has risen to a level of love that the players have in it, an instant classic that people will look back on fondly.

11: Left For Dead 2 - 80% off

A classic in every sense of the word, I remember playing this with friends and I have seen how this game style has influenced other games such as Total War: Vermintide, Another really good game to check out.

10: Far Cry 4 - 50% off

Pagan Min. Enough said. Just play this game.

9: The Witcher 3 - 50% off

Widely regarded as the epitome of the RPG genre, The Witcher 3 finished off the series with a bang. Featuring a world that feels as alive as the monsters and people that live in it, beauty and chaos surrounds you as you search for your long lost friend.

8: Doom - 67% off

While this game had some trouble before launch with people being skeptical about the outcome of it, this game has stepped above and beyond expectations and is possibly one of the best shooters of 2016

7: Portal 2 - 80% off

Another classic, this time, a puzzle game that is as filled with humor as it is with difficulty and depth.

6: Hyper Light Drifter - 40% off

A game with a beautiful art style and phenomenal gameplay and enemies, I highly recommend this to anybody who loves games in general

5: Just Cause 3 - 75% off

Boasting a massive game area and beautiful graphics, Just Cause 3 features more of the same crazy shenanigans as the previous games in the series, except, this time it is dialed up to 12.

4: Tom Clancy's: The Division - 50% off

While the release was plagued by some issues, The recent fixes to the game has pushed it above and beyond what it was on release, also adding its new survival mode, it has put The division back on the map, due to most of the other survival pvp games (H1Z1 king of the kill, etc) being in early access, this game is the only one that works 100% of the time. Highly recommended

3: Counter Strike: Global Offensive- 33% off

Possibly one of the biggest Competitive Shooters out to date and you can have it at a lower price meaning a lower bar to entry

2: The Long Dark -  50% off

Possibly the best standalone survival game, even though the game is in early access, it is adding a single player campaign soon and it is one of the best in the entire genre

1: Rise of the Tomb Raider - 50% off

The sequel to the reboot, this game is one of the peaks of graphical beauty, with its vistas and views, it stands far above many other AAA games and is good still to this day while other games try the same thing.

Well that was my list of 15 games to check out in the winter sale, I will put out a post about the other money making means in the near future.

As always, Your friendly neighborhood nerd.

PS: Typing about The Steam sale on Steemit got very confusing.

I know the feeling, the sale takes a lot of the price away but it still adds up to a lot
