3 Annoying Parts In Video GamessteemCreated with Sketch.

Gaming, no matter how awesome the game, there will always be parts that make your eyes roll. And it usually comes to you having to wait for something or being penalized for missing something. And it might not even be a death, just a large fall where you have to climb up the thing you were climbing all over again. Here are some moments in a game that drove us mad.

Those Blocks In Mega Man

You know the ones. They are there one second and then they are gone the next. You would have to time each block so you could jump from one to the other. But you could only stand on one for so long before it vanished. This section took time and patience and you were never happy when you knew it was coming. But you could skip it with rush jet, something I always did.

Climbing A Level In Metroid

You ever play Metroid? It is a pretty great side scroller. But, as the game is one big map, you need to travel vertically as well as horizontally. That means you need to jump from platform to platform. And if you miss one you could go all the way to the bottom, meaning you need to do it all over again.

Any Time You Had To Stop With Sonic

Sonic was a game of speed. It was the first time you were really moving. You would whip by screens in a blur and could feel the quickness. Even when you were hitting loops, you were still feeling that speed. But then you hit a wall that you had to wait to move or a platform you needed to wait to come in range so you can jump to it. And then you would have to stop. Normally this was not a big deal in a game but it was noticeable when you were zooming a second ago.

Any more you want to add?

When Jason runs to the cabin on the lake in the original Friday the 13th game on nes... and hits you in the boat and you can't do anything about it

Somehow I was expecting things like ping, crappy teammates or a buggy game to be in this article :D

Great post! Would you mind if I included it in today's "best of gaming"?

Oh that is a different list. Please do :)

What annoys me is not being spawned where you died in certain games.

How about the "Wrong side of the Tracks" mission in GTA San Andreas? One of the most annoying missions in video gamenhistor

The best thing about those games, especially mega man, was their ability to completely teach the player through the game design.
It's a super hard feat to accomplish and sadly one that's often ignored in today's games.
Fuck tutorials!
Here's a video I have a feeling you'll love.

I watched that video, he makes some good points, X really did teach you in that first level, especially when you fall down the pit and have to climb out.

When you die ... just before a chekpoint.

Bonus if your last save is one hour ago.
