Indies: The Magic of the Little Giants.
(sighs...)
The indies are probably born from 1990, where games such as Doom, Wolfestein or duke nuke were in full swing, so they were not taken into account and so very little was said about them.

The Videogame Company is a gigantic business nowadays, and although that is well known to many, over the years, they have diversified into many genres, and these have also formed communities strong enough to persevere in the time, inviting new players to join, participate and learn a little more about the culture behind them.
Today I want to talk about "something" that can not be classified as a genre, it would be rather, ehmm, like a label where many different styles of video games meet, and these in turn have only one thing in common: They are independent , therefore, they are not subject to the laws of a gigantic company such as those we know.
The indie game, part from the essence of any other activity with this same label, as well as movies, music or comics, are usually produced by very small work groups, and what really sets them apart from the games of a greater production, it could be the art they put into their projects. If you have ever seen hotline miami, you may notice that it does not stand out in terms of graphics, as well as isaac or Fez, but its art, * Shines * and * Reluce *, differentiates and separates it, this produces a totally different immersion, a completely new feeling that, if you ask me, it's worth exploring, if you're a "casual" gamer who is not interested in indie games, let me try to convince you to give these little giants a chance:
Diversity
Be the person you are, lover of action, adventure, arcade or whatever you want, always, absolutely always, 100% of the time there will be a game waiting for you in the genre you want or prefer. So if you enjoy of the violents shooters, or a good adventure, I invite you to see the disproportionate amount of games that come from these companies.
Art
As I said before, it stands out for its great brightness. The games like battlefield or Fornite have great graphics, the indies have something special and a little different, they have the personal touch, the experiences, and the desire to show their charisma. The indie is usually far below of more produced games, but its illustrations and animations are unique and specials..
Personality
If anything we can be sure, is that of this last quality, no indie game suffers lack of personality. From the soundtrack, its settings, cities, protagonists and history, indie games have character, have a signature, a stamp that makes them so special and striking, that effort is noted from the cover, until we finish the game.
The documentary Indie Game The Movie (if you have not seen it, I recommend it to 1000%), took us to know the events during the development of games like Super Meat Boy or FEZ, and also, to know the people behind of its development, there you see the love and determination that people like Edmund Mcmillen feel for this entertainment, you can realize the pain, and part of desperation, to deliver a demo, or because they do not have the funds to live as they would like, something very important and what I want to emphasize about that movie is something Jonathan Blow said:
-Part of this is not being professional. Many people come to independent games trying to be a great company, what these companies do is create very hard-working products, for as large an audience as possible, the way that is It accomplishes, it is filing the rough edges of something, if there is a sharp corner, one makes sure that it is not going to hurt anyone, the creation of that polished commercial product is the opposite of doing something personal.
-Things that are personal have flaws, they have vulnerabilities, if you do not see a vulnerability in someone, you probably are not relating to them on a personal level, so that is what these videogames are about, let me take my biggest flaws and vulnerabilities, put them in the game and let's see what happens..
That is, what in essence, makes up indie games; The relationship of its developers with their project, their feelings and emotions, the how a game can have a more ambiguous meaning, make this type of games interesting and ultimately, turns this field into a field full of possibilities that wait for us to let's explore them!.
