Pokemon: The Purpose of a Dreamer
The circumstances in which one is born do not matter, it is what one does with the gift of life that tells us who we are.
Mewtwo
Nota 1:
Originally, I had the intention of writing a note about the love that pokemon generated me from the first time I played it, as well as the disappointments that I have taken with it over the years, but the more I researched and read, I realized , I needed to capture a little the history of this saga, in addition to the feeling that I get to know the person behind it. each sub title simplifies a bit everything that happened long before pokemon until its development, I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoy writing the note.
Nota 2:
Before you start reading, feel free to comment what you think and want, not just about pokemon, about any game that has you marked, without more to say, let's start with the note:
Doctor Insect
On August 28, 1965, he was born in Machida Tokyo, Satoshi Tajiri, Diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome and with a huge love for the collection of all kinds of insects, so much was the appreciation for this pastime of this young man, who was then given the nickname by his colleagues of "Dr.Insect" at school.
Dr insect was not very good at school, he frequently missed classes because of his hobby. This love of insect collecting later would be shared with the arrival of video games in his life.
The attachment to arcade games, caused him several problems and aggravated others, this caused his parents not to agree with everything that happened, even academic level, Tajiri almost failed to graduate high school, but he managed to find a way to get his diploma, avoiding the annoyances of his parents.
Passion
His great passion for video games led him to meet a great friend, Ken Sugimori, Satoshi had the idea then to create a magazine where people will learn about the progress of games and also help improve the skill of arcade players , he was going to write and revise, and Ken would give life with his illustrations to the magazine, and that was how Game Freak was born.
Ambition
With Game freak already founded and with a great friend, Tajiri realized that his passion and ambition for video games would then take another direction, the development of these; In such a way that they decided to start designing many good games, caughting the attention of a giant of that time, Nintendo.
For 1980, Tajiri's team had already left the small offices where they were, and they moved to one of the Nintendo buildings, where they began developing famous games.
Ideal
With the Game Boy in the market, one day, Tajiri sees two children connected by the gameboy cable playing tetris, and then he comes up with a great idea: "A game where children could collect monsters, and could exchange them with each other to be able to complete this collection "similar to what was his great passion in his childhood. The directors of nintendo at that time accepted but without showing much enthusiasm or pleasure for the project.
Even with the great and ambitious project in progress, the central concept and idea was not so clear and in fact confused the managers, until a person found the idea promising, Tajiri's idol,,, Shigeru Miyamoto, loved the concept and was given the task of working together with tajiri to carry out the game.
Problems, Perseverance and Re-entrepreneurship
Unfortunately for Satoshi, the managers were not wrong, the project was extremely complex to carry out, it was so much so that the company was in trouble for a long period of time, because there was not enough money to pay his team work mates.
Despite Satoshi's monumental effort ... day and night ... fixing problems, writing more and more code, he was forced to take the only viable option he had, stop development indefinitely.
With the passing of time, miyamoto (who was still looking at the company with a good start), gave Satoshi the opportunity to take care of the development of key games for Nintendo, one of these games "Yoshi's Egg" (cover above), was a great success as a puzzle game, both in Japan and America, generating great income for Game Freak, giving Satoshi the impulse for invest in what he wanted, so he did not think twice and went on the work of his old project several years after having stop the development of his game.
Finally, after 6 years later, and with hard work, the first finished version of the project comes to light, and although this was not the most polished, and had some buggs, Satoshi loved it, with his finished project, Pocket Monster was ready to come to light.
In February 96, its first versions, Green and Red did not reach great success, but after a year they had the million copies sold, Nintendo then, decided to send the game to the western market, abbreviating it to Pokémon, this because a matel serie called Monster in My Pocket was on tv, that's when his Blue and Red versions became a success, along with his phrase known as "Gotta Catch'em All !, got the 200,000 copies the first week.
Never give up on trying to find your place in the world. You might feel trapped in school classes or a job that are not
right for you. You might have people telling you to give up on your pet project, or trade your passion for a simpler, easier time of things.Dont give up. Keep seeking your dream. Even if it takes years and years and years, it´ll be worth it when you finally succeed.
And finally to finish:
Above all, just make sure that whatever you do with your life, you spend it doing something that you love.
Pokemon is a saga equal to all, with more bad than good, is currently trying to take a step in the process of portable console, but I met with the saga you see above, the Emerald version, and despite not being so special for many, Pokemon opened the doors to me to know a different world through that tiny screen, its art that in spite of not being something of the other world, It ended up convincing and immersing myself in a beautiful world, where I could incarnate the body of a trainer who, like many, wanted to be a pokemon master. This led me to love videogames and see them in another way, to the point of wanting to create and develop my own game as a great project of life, that's why their story moves me and motivates me to continue to strive and never stop my dream, as impossible as this is can be.
I deeply appreciate if you readed all my post (I'm sorry if it was very long), it took me a lot of time to write it, if you liked it, leave me an Up and a comment to let me know, it would be of great support for all this I do, follow me for more similar content and as always, Until the next
PS: Here I leave you the video of the life of Satoshi Video
