Garden Clean Up: Micro Orchard #1

One of the most important garden task, aside from sowing and harvesting, is preparing your beds before anything can go into the ground. On our medium size homestead we have four main, separate garden areas. Our first micro orchard garden area had gotten neglected and overgrown after a tree damaged part of it in 2018. But thanks to the awesome work of Mrs. Sapper Gardener and the Sapper Kids we are reclaiming the garden areas in that area.

We also have several edge beds made of boards and cut logs (from the downed tree) that we rotate low maintenance annuals into each year such as corn, sorghum, garlic and onions.
