Ragtag Garden - Growth Spurt
The radishes are thriving despite a three day stretch of hot weather.
I think it's been cooling off enough during the night that they haven't wilted. We're looking at more reasonable temps for the coming week, plus a chance of rain on Wednesday. They should really like those conditions!
The tomatoes haven't sprouted yet, but they take a long time. According to my research, I wouldn't be surprised if they don't show up for another week or so.
The next candidates for planting will be Hale's Best Jumbo Melon and the Straight Eight Cukes.
According to the planting recommendations from The Farmer's Almanac Best Days and the Moon Phase calendar, June 5th is the day to plant them.
Due to the cold, wet spring we had, these guys are going in late for the season, but sometimes you just have to roll with the punches.
Fingers crossed the guides are right!

Yay! I'm so happy to see you posting. I've missed you. I'm glad to see the ragtag garden going. I think my radishes are around the same size as yours right now. I got my cucumbers going this week and already see a bit of green. We've had lots of nice rain. I hope you are feeling better and to see you around more.
Aww, thanks! I'm trying to get back to the routine. Rehab is playing hell with the timing, but it's worth it. ;~p

Rain comes in and gives them a drink they will perk up and grow some more. Almanac is usually right, plant them and you will find out.LOL
That's the plan. Hopefully, the plants got the memo. Lol!
Very nice growth on the radishes I hope rest go as smooth. They already look so tasty. My own efforts so far have been a mixed bag. I got something eaten leaves and just a bunch of endless rain and cloudy days.

I couldn't chance the garden going back to a weed patch, so at least this will keep that possibility at bay. Lol! Rehab is going well and typing is much easier these days. Now that the flexibility is returning, we're working on stamina. Thanks for cheering me on!
