New to this

Hi! I am brand new to this whole Steemit thing! So I will ask you all to forgive my mistakes as I learn how to handle yet another new social media! :) I am a native New Yorker, born and raised in the best city in the world! Growing up in the borough of Brooklyn, I lived during some of the best times in the history of NYC. I am an 80's baby! But now, I live in the Caribbean, enjoying tropical weather all year round. I came on vacation several years ago, fell in love with it and decided to stay! Now I am on a journey of learning to be more self-reliant. I am growing a garden for the very first time in my life! I am learning about canning and other methods of food preservation! Never in a million years, growing up in Brooklyn, would I have imagined myself doing this today, but hey, we make plans, God gives the directions!
