Aquaponics in the Dining Room
This is my aquaponics indoor nft system. NFT stands for nutrient film technique. I am raising channel catfish and various plants together. This system only cost me about $150. It was a cheap and easy system to build. I'm hoping to get enough sunlight from the windows to grow all these plants while at the same time raise some catfish.
That's really cool! What do you use for fertilizer with this?
Simple answer is I don't use anything for fertilizer. I feed the fish. Fish produce waste. Plants live off of the fish waste and in return the plants filter the water for the fish.
