I have worked on this property for 9 years. Lot's of things have been changed or added or didn't survive, but this view of the beautiful astilbe has endured. And guess what? THis week it did not disappoint!

Here are a few more quick takes:

and this one...through the gate...

This view changes constantly as more plants come into flower and some fade away.

Here is a list (incomplete ) of what you can see (or rather what I can see and know is there!) in this photo

astilbe
red japanese maple
dwarf cryptomeria
dogwood
river birch
hachinachloa
heuchera
oakleaf hydrangea
sedum (not in bloom)
aster (not in bloom)
lady's mantle
iris
peonies (blooms are past)

SOme plants like heuchera and hachinachloa are really enjoyed for their color and texture. Plants like astilbe or peony or iris or aster, certainly for their blooms.

Gardening is fun, hard work, and ultimately, quite satisfying. SOrry I have no how-to's today....just the photos, the eye-candy, on our way out the gate ;0)

Happy gardening,

Each plant requires care, but when you see your results, it's so nice:) Beautiful photos. Thank you for sharing

thanks for stopping by!

who would not love to be there its would be like a fairy tale dream come true :D

it's a stunning place! (pats self on back ;0)

I love that gate and fence! Beautiful astilbes! You can still come do my gardens... :))

lol....I see retirement in my near-ish future (except for my own property ;0) and besides...you are an awesome gardener!

Or I could jump over the fence :-)

better you than me!

I can see strolling along with an early morning coffee in hand. Lovely!

Exactly! It's so funny - I go out almost every morning with coffee in hand and walk around my yard assessing the condition of the plants and deciding about what needs some tending. It's a great way to think without stress! I mention this to some of the clients, and they think I'm nuts!

Well it is not nuts! I say great minds think alike. What a sweet way to enjoy a morning!

So colourful and I would love to take a walk in there!
