Wildcrafted Medicine: The Incredible Healing Properties of Lyre Leaf Sage

in #gardening8 years ago

Every aspect of life is better when you are healthy!

With this in mind, we share valid, accessible, cheap or even free nature-crafted medicines. Plants have incredible healing properties that are well-known and respected throughout history, but humans have been disconnected from this primal knowledge.

We seek to return you to your roots.

We know firsthand the power of plants, and we live intimately connected to them. We share our wealth of knowledge to bring wellness options to your awareness; empowered by this wisdom, you can take full responsibility for your own health.

Yesterday, we shared a delicious food formula for Lemon Thai Basil Broccoli with Wildcrafted Lyre Leaf Sage that utilized the incredible flavor and healing power of herbs. Today, we highlight one of the herbs in this Wildcrafted Medicine blog. We present LYRE LEAF SAGE:

This plant grows wild! We hope you are encouraged to forage from nature's medicine chest. You will find very few government funded studies on herbs such as Lyre Leaf Sage, but experience can speak for itself. Try it as a culinary herb or use it in tea, enjoy the light flavor, and reap the benefits!

Mother nature really does provide us with soooo much medicine, and I do keep wondering why we often choose man-made medicines instead... But I think it's because children are no longer told about how plants can heal and how to use their medicines. That's why it's important to post this information on places like this where they can get attention. Thanks for sharing!

You're welcome! We believe that it's important to inform people they have options. Plants have been used safely and effectively for thousands of years, and it's only within the last 100 years or so that humans have really forgotten how to nourish and heal themselves. We're here to share knowledge!

It's a very worthy mission! I'm following you now for more good stuff!!!

I love how remedies grow up out of the ground, and that plants offer solutions for every ailment. There was a time when this was common knowledge, and it's great fun to re-learn this ancient wisdom.

Yes, this is valuable information that gives an individual more options for their own health and wellness!

Man, this is some amazing info. Thanks!

You're welcome!

Thank you for putting this information out to people. You just don't know what you don't know!

Nature always provides. Now all we have to do is tune into the blessings. Thank you for sharing!!

Awesome, thank you! We're grateful for your community initiative!

Congratulations on getting your post featured in Steemplus!

Unfortunately Lyre Leaf Sage doesn't grow wild here in Australia. I have the usual Sage growing but haven't heard of Lyre Leaf before. We have a wonderful herbalist at our local organic farmers' market ~ And she's sure to know about it and maybe even have some.

And once I have some, I'll do whatever I can to let it go feral in our garden. Smile.

Hopefully you can get your hands on some and let it take root! Some say it's called Cancer Weed "because it spreads like a cancer on the Earth", and it's been used as a folk remedy for treating cancer. This is a tasty and valuable plant to have if you can get it!

Just found an Australian supplier of a variety of sage plants, including the Lyre Leaf ~ Will see if I can order it now. Really appreciate your information. Thanks again.

Bravo! another great success congratulations @ gardenofeden, excellent post thanks for sharing this wonderful material

Thank you for your enthusiastic support!

Great post. May I suggest you change the first tag to foraging so we can include it in the SteemTrail project in that category?

Thanks! What is the SteemTrail project? Don't believe the first tag can be edited once a post is submitted.

It's a new project like curie to build up new users and new topics. You want to be on my team as a curator? You would be great to work with and are knowledgeable about gardening and foraging and we need that. Here is more about it

Cool initiative! You're doing great work for this community, and we thank you and respect you for it. What is the incentive for being a curator for the SteemTrail project?

Can we meet up in Steemit Chat? I would love to talk more about it with you.

Well I'm on the gardening team too. I'll submit it and see if it flys.
