A day in my garden...
This has been the strangest week for weather. Right now there is snow on the ground. We had a snow storm earlier in the week which produced blizzard-like conditions. Then we had a few days with record low temperatures. The wind chill was down to negative 40. It was so cold that many businesses shut down, colleges shut down, the mail did not run, and school was cancelled.
On to this week....
I may have no snow in my yard at all in a few days. The temperature for the next few days is supposed to be up over 40 degrees. That fluctuation is not good for my flowers. I'm really hoping that they don't think it is spring with the 40 degree temperatures and start to produce buds like they would in the spring. I also hope that there was enough snow to insulate them from the cold temperatures that we had this past week.
Time will tell...
Thank you for visiting today. I hope you enjoyed my photo.
Wow, many states had those same terrible conditions! I heard about the awful wind chill. Hope your weather calms down and doesn't ruin your future flowers! Stay warm!
Thank you! I won't know for sure until spring shows up. Keeping my fingers crossed!

I love this photo. I also love your gate..... that appears not to be attached to a fence.
I have a sidewalk that goes to my deck. The side of it ends abruptly, but you can continue to walk around that side and to the front. I had thought of putting a random gate up where it stops.... or arbor of some sort, even though you would still be able to walk right around it..
Something about gates makes me anticipate what is beyond with fun expectations.
I'm already starting to plan what I want to do when spring arrives, even though we are now in the dead of winter.
Thank you! I love my gate!! There is a walkway through there.
