Steem greetings from my motherland-Cameroon to you all .It’s is another week for us as great chefs and lovers of kitchen.Show our talents on the course taught for this week5 “Desserts”. As a chicken lover it’s always a pleasure to share with you my thoughts and experiences how I do my special dessert .Not other than “coconut cake” as a simple dessert desire and love so much to bake and consume.

Iam a lover of kitchen, every time is always an opportunity to learn new things and it for my friends, relatives and my family around me.I can say am good in making some of the desserts like pineapple, coconut and watermelon smoothies .Made of various combinations .I am goods in making different types of cake,Chocolate cake,coconut cake ,Vanilla sponge cake, caramel cake,banana cake etc .Not forgetting fruit salad and puddings .
All the above desserts mentioned I have done them un countable times at home .The more I make them the more I perfect myself to make it well.This because learning never ends .Everyday there are new upcoming methods you add to make the dessert to be sweet than before and to perfect myself.
Yes of course I will give explanation on the dessert I made which is coconut cake. Following are the ingredients needed for coconut cake.It’s will also depend on the quantity of flour am going to use for baking will determine my ingredients needed.
Ingridents for coconut cake
- 2 cups of flour
- 1 teaspoons baking soda
- 200grams of butter
- 100gram of sugar
- 4healthy egges
- Cocunut chips
- 1 teaspoon Ntunmeg flavor and Cocunut flavor
- A pinch of salt
- 50grams of vegetable oil
Step1
sieved your flour ,add in your baking power and coconuts chips and mixed together.The dry ingredients.
Step2
Measure your butter and sugar and vegetable oil put it inside the machine mixed it well.
Step3
Mixed your sugar ,oil and magerine for about 25 minutes .When it’s becomes fluffy add eggs, your Flavour and your flour and mixed the batter well.You can add edible color to beautify the cake , I always use orange or yellow colors .At times red velvet color .
Step4
Grease your cake pan with butter or put baking paper for the batter not to stick on the pan .
Step5
Insert your cake pan in the oven and set the oven temperature.Bake it 45 minutes and it will be ready for eating.
Here my coconuts cake is ready and I make a sliced I can consume .Like this one I used icing sugar to decorate because my kids loves when it is decorated with fondant icings . Yummy Coconut cake my own share of the cake .
