The evolution of misinformation:

🔹Israel fringe channel 14 runs a half baked and poorly researched story of mass resignation in the IDF Spokespersons Unit (some that were in the process prior to the war, some that had been replaced, some run their course after many years of service, all of them are friends and professionals I’ve known for many years).

🔹 Al Jazeera reports as fact that @IDFSpokesperson himself is resigning. In an attempt to sow confusion, make an impression that the unit (and perhaps the IDF?) is in a state of disarray.

‼️This is false, misleading and down right poor journalism.

I am proud to serve as a reserve officer in the Spokespersons unit, under Rear Admiral Hagari. This is the most terrible time in the history our country, in the most media saturated war in the history of warfare, in the most controversial conflict in international affairs.

Trying to tell the story of this war, its impact on #Israel and #Gaza is hard enough without having to deal with crappy copy-paste fake news.
