Hey Jeremy, are you doing any workshops in Portland, Oregon? It's pretty much the Tiny House center of the universe, I'm sure you'd be very well recieved.
Personally, I'm pretty keen to buy a generator and convert it using your methods. .. I have 5 acres but we can't get solar where we are.

@aussieninja, no, currently there are no classes in that region. We are offering the training through SteemIT and YouTube (until I can get DTube to work right). For one on one training I hold the classes here in NH or in ME.
Why can you not get solar out there? I would recommend getting the Solar Panel Kit from Harbor Freight and having multiple spot vs one huge layout.
Sorry, I should have been more specific... we can't get a company to install solar panels on the roof of our house or our shed because it's too shady and because we have a manufactured home.
I'll look into Harbor Freight though, thanks heaps for that suggestion.
I have no mechanical experience whatsoever, but I'd be very interested in your training.
