The Aries and the Serendib Gems

Aries (21 march – 20 April), being the first sign of the Zodiac, bears all the momentum of beginnings. The most characteristic feature of their fiery being is banging into walls. They won’t stop until clash a border – sometimes a rather hard border. This search for borders is their element of life, their momentum is driven by the desire to define themselves. Their energies sometimes can carry them away taking them along until they get tired. But very soon, the will be full of energy again. They are born to be leaders; on one hand they have a strong spirit of competition, like challenges and games, on the other hand they aren’t really able to think with someone else’s mind, so they can’t follow others. However, Aries are pure, honest souls, they cannot - and also don’t like to – manipulate others but their momentum often carries away others.

There is only one gem matching the hardness of Aries: Diamond and that is their birth stone. But in spite of their exceptional rich gem-deposits, there is no diamond found in Sri Lanka.

Traditionally Ruby and all red(ish) gems are also connected to Aries, these gems suit their fiery energies and attract them, their effects, however, differ. Ruby, being 9 on the Mohs hardness scale to ten, second to Diamond, harmonizes with their given capacities for lead while helping them to stay focused on their task.

Garnet will help them to find the balance between passion and calmness. This gem can give them fresh energies when their batteries are running low. Garnet also offers endurance, which can be always welcomed by the impulsive Aries.

Cool Aquamarine can somewhat balance the drifting of the Aries’ storms, while helping their communication by formulating clear thoughts. Those Aries who can’t live their braveness, Aquamarine can open new channels in their way of self-conquest.

Emanating the vibrations of serenity and prudence, Amethyst can be an important help for Aries. With its high frequencies of consciousness it can elevate their goals into spiritual heights.

The vibrations of Citrine can help Aries to accept critic that usually isn’t their strength. The spontaneous, fresh energies of this gem can enrich Aries with new point of views, more effective solutions while strengthening their captivating capacities instead if wading others through.

Balancing feminine and masculine qualities Moonstone can be a perfect counterweight for too macho Aries men and too combative women. The rock crystal, with its calm, pure atmosphere can inhibit the Aries’ sudden outbursts of energy.
