My name is Christian,Chukwuemeka Ejimadu,from Imo State,Nigeria. I studied History and Diplomatic Studies. I love writing because it is the easiest way for me to interpret my life experience, things around me,world as a whole and forthcoming events.
I always have thirst for adventure, and research. It equips me with new information and sharpen my communication skills.Sometimes,I do find myself unearthing strange fields of human endeavour that make me feel lost and uncertainty about God existence. God truly exists!.
I have researched unpublished works such as: Histrionical Origin of Ile Oluji,in Ondo state,Nigeria, Ayelala(goddess of socio-justice and The Rise and Fall of Osama Bin ladin.These works are challenging especially during my oral interview with a priest in Ijebu Ode,Ogun state when I was researching on "ayelala". *
Without further ado,I will recount my research on one of the deities,ayelala*.

Historical Origin of Ayelala

The historical origin of Ayelala can be traced to ," Ilaje (riverine area ),Ondo state, "Ayelala" the goddess of socio-justice.The etymological meaning revolves around her exclamation when she was accused of extramarital affairs. She exclaimed in agony with profuse tears when she was about to be sacrificed,Ayelala oo!(what a terrible world,!).
It is hard to unearthing such mysterious cultural history without the aid of historiography whose pioneer,*Herodotus asserts that, research is not an arm-chair work,visit the field ,ask questions and make an objective conclusion. Historiography opines that"the place of supernatural being cannot be overlooked in cultural history, there are actors that contribute to historical event"... * .

Ayelala process,invocation.

To invoke the wrath of ayelala,it takes few but intense processes and collection of materials.
its victims are not spared when it strikes.
List of materials needed to invoke its wrath
1 . Duck or rooster
2 .white clothe
3. 7 string of needles
4. 7 parrot feathers
5. 7 alligator peppers
6. 7 native chalks
After preparation of these materials,the needles, peppers ,feathers, chalks and the likes will be conceived inside either of the two(duck or rooster)with the white clothing wrap around the duck.
The duck will be buried inside the ayelala water.
Note this,the water is not an ordinary one. It is usually collected from it victims remains. The water is concentrated substance. It is handled with absolute care.
Evil doer,culprits or societal defiance is /are usually brought to oath or curse at the concentrated water.

Its Victims

ayelala victims are usually thieves, witches,oath -defiance, wizards.
It is a social moderator. It checks the excessiveness in the society.
Anyone that falls as it prey hardly survives from its clutches. If they do,stigmatization or ostracization is not far from them.

Sometimes, some victims survive the wrath but they will be subjected to traditional's custodian whose invocation catch up with them with deep-rooted cleansing.
The victims corpse are usually buried by the custodian.
It negates their rules to allow such corpse to be buried conventionally.

Taboo

It is completely unacceptable for a lady observing her redflag (monthly cycle)to visit ayelala shrine to avoid sudden menupose.
Also, a liar should desist from the shrine to take oath or curse to avoid doomsday.

This belief or let's say traditional religion is dying off from shock of civilization. These days,we see it to be barbaric,uncivic and crass but this device can be used as an instrument to correct,moderate and reform
social system. The world we are living in is filled with corruption,greed and intolerance. For instance, we can device this # means to eradicate political corruption, public fund mismanagement. Every Nigerian politician regardless of their religion should be liable to take oath of transparency before he /she can have leadership mantle. Africa as a whole ,has totally forgotten it origin. We have ignorantly obsolved alien religion. Note,this if not total should be part of our religion. Indian,China,most Asians still respect their traditional religion.
