Anyone who believes in the unlimited growth of something physical on a physically limited planet is either a madman or an economist. Even the second ones have rethought their views over the last ten years. The quote serves to sober anyone who expects a gang, no matter what he has reached in his creative career, constantly overtaking himself with each subsequent album and creating music that will lead you to the edge of (at best) emotional you boundaries: ever closer, more and more uncompromising. In the case of Radiohead, this has already happened, many times. Then what would every sober person want to hear, listening to an album made up of half-known, but unreleased songs? Fortunately, we get everything we can wish for, gathered in one of England's most sophisticated albums, which is both unexpectedly human and vulnerable. The old composition have finally received the right arrangements and are perfectly matched with the new additions, regardless of the production date of the base. The later activities of the members of the band have shaped their musical individuality more distinctly and it works magically among them to create something new and homogeneous. The masterfully mixed of moments of the past with brand new audio alloys ultimately turns out to be all that is right to expect at this stage: a legendary album that dignified to the rest in their exclusive catalog.

One of my favorite songs of the album "Decks Dark":

I think this the best thing they’ve released since Kid A, and I don’t say that because I don’t like their other releases.

There is definitely something more mature here, a real development out of what I think was a highly creative and experimental phase over the last 15 years.

Yes, I have similar thoughts with you. Although for me this album is on the level of "Rainbows" but I feel it more intimate.
